O Lusitano

The mushroom appetizer was tasty & the cheese/meat plate was just the right amount with pumpkin jam and warm chèvre on toast points -yummy.The wine selection is good and reasonably priced. The special of pork with whipped potatoes and chestnut sauce was incredible! The veal and Portuguese steak was cooked to perfection and perfect accompaniments.The almond with egg tart was finger licking good!!!Service was on point and with a smile - they pay attention to details!Beautiful space with lovely touches.

We searched long and hard for a traditional Portugese restaurant that is well priced. This restaurant is a bit off the beaten path, but boy did we enjoy the food. Placed orders based on recommendations by the waiter and we were very happy.

A buzzing place with great staff that focuses on details and take really good care of their guests (looked like they have many returning guests).The cataplana was extremely tasty and we liked the local wine recommendation. The sausage starter was also great (I can’t remember exactly how is called) and the view on the terrace in the evening was completing our great experience!You have to try this place

The best restaurant in albufeira Don’t believe fake tripadvisor reviews that place this wonderful restaurant around the 65 mark in the tripadvisor reviews when every two bob Indian takeaway in the top ten, 6 last time I counted!!!Also number 1 on those reviews are a two for 12 restaurant, a bit like Wetherspoons in the U.K., so judge trip advisor reviews at your peril!!Ive been coming to albufeira for many, many years now and have eaten at almost every restaurant in town, now you have to judge a restaurant on its consistent standards.1. Service - Second to NO other restaurant in albufeira, it’s never once changed from the highest of standards, Pedro and team are outstanding.2. Hygiene - We judge this on the toilets, you could could literally eat your dinner in there, spotless!!3. Quality - The quality of food is top notch!4. Food - For typical Portuguese food there is no restaurant anywhere near as good as o’Lusitanos, We’ve literally had everything on the menu(which changes) and never once have we been disappointed.From the starters to desert everything is lovely, the sausage, mushroom, prawn starters are fabulous, but the highlight for me is either the Portuguese or lusitano steak Out of this world.You simply couldn’t spend your hard earned money anywhere better, Pedro and team are the best.

If you are looking for fine dining, well search no further. O Lusitsno is just amazing. Great welcome, really cosy atmosphere and exceptional value for money. We felt simply great there and service from start to finish was amazing. You will feel well looked after but not intimidated. Food was beautiful especially state of the art prawns starter. Thank you for the great time O Lusitsno!!!

Visited early November 2024, a very impressive restaurant and the food was really tasty and prepared with care.Seems to be the place to go to for business professionals. Being a tourist, we felt a little underdressed but we were still welcomed.
